This morning, Newport born boxer Lauren Price won a gold in the women’s boxing. She was previously the world kick boxing champion and has 58 caps for Wales at football. Surely Wales greatest ever female sportswoman.

Lauren Price (Boxer): Career
The veteran athlete was born on 25 June 1994 as Lauren Louise Price in Newport, Wales. She has not provided information on her parents but it reported that her parents had left her in the care of foster parents. Later, her grandparents took her in and raised her in Ystrad Mynach, Caerphilly. Also, they encouraged Lauren to make her career in Kickboxing.
She began to have a keen interest in football, kickboxing, and netball since the age of ten. At the age of 13, she had won the silver medal at a World Championship, held in Athen in 2007. Regarding her education, she attended Heolddu Comprehensive School in Bargoed (https://www.heolddu.net/). She later studied at the University of South Wales receiving a Foundation Degree in Football Coaching and Development.
