Re: Fuel crisis
3I think that you'll find most non league fixtures at this time of the year are postponed for clashes with the Trophy and Vase games.
Re: Fuel crisis
4The postponed matches were midweek (over 30 matches) and were because of the 'fuel crisis'. There was a round of Vase matches last weekend, I went to watch one. I'm not sure how far the Trophy has progressed, but the postponements were nothing to do with Cup fixtures.Madhatter wrote:I think that you'll find most non league fixtures at this time of the year are postponed for clashes with the Trophy and Vase games.
This is from the Plymouth local paper.......
Truro City’s Southern League clash with Dorchester Town has been postponed due to the shortage of fuel in some areas.
Tuesday’s fixture is one of more than 35 non-league games due to be played this midweek that has bitten the dust.
The match, which would have been played at Bolitho Park in Plymouth, where the White Tigers are playing this season, is one four games from the same level of the Southern League to have been postponed.

I think you'll find that on this occasion it was down to the 'fuel crises'
Re: Fuel crisis
6Frome Town's match at Bideford this evening is postponed due to a floodlight issue.
Re: Fuel crisis
7I left my Barrow hotel at 7:30 am on Saturday to ensure I could get enough fuel at the nearby Tesco to get home.
