I invite 'Bignbeefy' to meet with me as soon as Covid restrictions allow, to tie me to a body stretcher, beat me with sticks and torture me until I scream. (Shit! the wrong forum). I mean meet me for a coffee, chat and interview me and check my sanity and business credentials.

Colin,

You have made a bold claim. That being that you are one of the world's greatest direct marketers. Now whilst it is nearly 40 years ago and whilst also I make now claim to greatness I did work for three years as an advertising manager, firstly for Haymarket Specialist Publications and then for a subsidiary of Anglo American Tobacco.

Now the role of any marketer is that of selling a product. Whether it be an idea, a lifestyle or a tangible asset. To do that he or she must convince a skeptical public. Flowing from this was the basic concept that objections were to be treated as an opportunity. One has to have at least a modicum of interest to object. Overcome an objection with cool calm logic and the objector may well become a client.

Now Colin take the time to read through the entirety of that which you have written. Sometimes in an emotional state your posts are incoherent. Littered with ffs or fxcking, littered with spelling errors. Obsessed with me and abusive to anybody who challenges anything you say. Your poverty and sexuality make regular appearances and are, I assure you, of no interest to anyone.

And despite all this you ask people to believe that you are one of the world's greatest direct marketers.

I don't think that you are crazy, but I do think you are deluded.

Congratulations! I hadn't realised you could think! You've gone up in my estimation. How did the 'build a new stadium group' you participated in go. Asking for a fiend?! (Sic.)

Like most things it didn't survive contact with the board of Newport County. I did try to warn them but they wouldn't listen. :(

Just to help you. You insert 'Sic' when you are quoting accurately someone else who made mistake of syntax and you wish to draw attention to the fact that it is their error, not yours. Placing 'Sic" in original text is somewhat akin to pronouncing Torandot with a silent 't'. In terms making yourself look stupid by trying too hard to appear clever.

It is a Latin word that means “so.”

How's the new stadium going?

Hi Colin,
As I said above the discussion of the development of a stadium didn't survive contact with the board of directors at Newport County. But let me help you. Of the people who are on the LinkedIn list you posted I found Vanessa very impressive. Could I suggest that if you wish to engage her in any of your schemes, and seriously she would be an asset, you might try dropping your attempts at sarcasm. And I'd resist trying too hard to convince her that you're one of the world's greatest direct marketers. She struck me As someone who can spot BS a mile off.
Oh and be careful with your new found contact with the board. I know you have very little regard for my views but I can assure you when Charlie Hopkins and myself exchanged emails he shared my reservations.
All the best.
Brendan
