If the QR code has to be scanned, I think I've read somewhere that it won't work as a screenshot as that's a photo of the QR code rather than the actual code. Others with more tech knowledge than me might be able to confirm?

There's no visual difference between a screenshot of a webpage and the webpage itself so it'll be fine.

Taking a photo of the screen with a camera though will likely not work as the angle will warp the dimensions and detail of the code making it unscannable

To take a screenshot on most mobile phones it's typically pressing the power and volume down button at the same time.
