For what it’s worth, I’m happy to support Stonewall’s Rainbow Laces 2021 campaign, which sees a two week campaign to raise the issue starting this week. I’ve just ordered a pair of rainbow laces to brighten up my muddy boots for when I step onto a pitch as a referee this weekend.

We all need to become more diverse and inclusive - until a few years ago if someone talked about a rainbow I’d have instantly thought of Zippy, George and Bungle. Not to mention Rod, Jane and Freddy and Geoffrey (RIP) who always appeared from a back door together looking flustered. Quality show and occasional good-natured innuendoes.
