Where's the nearest weir upriver from RP? Is there one in Caerleon? Or aren't there any?

The Usk is navigable beyond Caerleon, I think maybe as far as Newbridge-on-Usk?
It is also tidal up as far as Caerleon, and you sometimes notice that the river flows backwards at high tide.

Further up from Newbridge-on-Usk are rapids, but not sure if there is a Weir as such. However the SSSI doesn't extend that far past Newport, so something smaller could be constructed, perhaps at the 2010 Ryder Cup Golf Course, if a rich owner were to be supportive.
