When I was a teenager in the 60s I used to travel from Cwmbran to Somerton Park on a supporters coach for every home match. It used to pick me up outside Gazis cafe in Pontnewydd . I can't remember where the starting point was.
The point being that 60 years later you are still hooked. As am I.

The question I ask is not that County should organize a chartered bus service, along the lines which you used all those years ago. The suggestion I make is that our club should look at whether such a service is feasible.

And yet we have a racist and a person who believes 'snitching' on yobs is the lowest of the low running a campaign of abuse against this. And more sadly a person who writes in the match day programme associating himself with these people.

Still if they truly believe that they will silence me giving my views without fear or favour, they are mistaken.

OK Phil help me please.

Some years ago during an FA Cup tie with Swansea City an official was struck by a coin thrown from the crowd which resulted in that official, Mr Sheffield ending up in the Royal Gwent Hospital. In a later discussion I wrote that if I knew who was responsible I would have informed the police.

Whoareya, in response said: 'There is nothing worse than a snitch'.

A man is known by his enemies. I am proud that Whoareya dislikes me. Are you proud to lie down with him?
Careful how you answer that GSB as you may run the risk of having your bottom firmly spanked and joining the 3 Stooges in Densa Club.
It appears our learned fiend only enjoys mass debating with like minded people!

So 3 times you mention word I, and yet there is no suggestion that it is for You, yourself to do anything, merely They. No mention of You working
out costs, doing a feasibility study, even asking the supporters club rep if a feasibility study has already been carried out!

Please can you remind me who exactly is trying to silence your views?

And what's more, I am a racist for calling You out, as a foreign troll.

Keep them coming, after all you live in a foreign place, and your ability to debate is sadly lacking.

How many people need their credibility to be bolstered by the user name of Einstein.?

When are you going to take responsibility for your words and act, instead of thinking that attacking others achieves anything other than confirming you are a simply just a troll looking for arguments?

Stan - I know this is like kicking a puppy because it stems from your fractured thought processes, but honestly I make my mind up subject by subject. I don't remember getting involved in the Swansea "snitch" debate but I did contemplate "snitching" to your professional body when you sent me a highly abusive message saying "You Tanner are a ****. I hope the filter doesn't take the word out but for the avoidance of doubt, You Tanner are a c unt. Rot in Hell you cheap piece of shit."

And good job no-one in the know grassed you up over your self-confessed inaccurate tax returns, eh?

As for the Swansea game - 15 years ago this week - this is from a programme article.

"... Hand on heart it's the only game in more than four decades supporting Newport which I've left early, but I knew it would be as I had a commitment announcing at a swimming meet 100 miles away and could only go because of the lunchtime kick-off. I was thinking maybe five minutes, though, not 45.

"Julian Alsop's goal in the fourth qualifying round at Tonbridge Angels set up a lip-smacking home tie against our friends from West Wales. Ex-Swan Alsop would have looked forward to it particularly. As did striker Craig Hughes, a Cardiff City diehard, but perhaps with hindsight telling the Argus "to me they are the enemy" was a bit unwise.

"Anticipation was huge. I was surprised to read that we had until the Wednesday to decide how big a demountable stand would be needed for the cricket end. It was to be the biggest ever gate at Spytty, with Swans supporters miles behind the goal at the road end...

"On the half-hour the wily Trundle bought a dubious free kick, which he floated to the back post for Izzy Iriekpen to head home. In stoppage time Paul Cochlin hit a post, but then a close-range Leon Brittan header made it 3-0. By then the game was heading for the national headlines. Beadle had blown a gasket when the second went in and ref Tony Bates sent him to the stand with a police escort, and in the aftermath a moron threw a coin which felled fourth official Alan Sheffield with a badly cut head. The repercussions were to be huge.

"Ian Hillier got one back on 49 minutes and apparently we were the better side after the break, but the Swans held it at 3-1. I say apparently because I'd cut my losses and was already on the M4, listening to us getting damned in the radio coverage.

"However, there was a story which showed County in a great light. Young supporter David Reeves, down from Sheffield, is a qualified ref and stood in as fourth official. I worked for the BBC - not in Wales or in sport, but I had the internal phone book - so I tried to interest BBC Wales in this good news. Nope. They had it on good authority that Beadle was about to be fired and were focused on that. You can't beat bad news.

"So I rang BBC North, who leapt at it. David went over to Leeds on the Monday and did a brilliant interview for their equivalent of Wales Today. It's just a shame it didn't get a bigger audience. When the case was heard in January, both manager and club were fined, partly suspended, and Beadle copped a seven-game ban. I'm still angry about the club being punished - what on earth could County have done to prevent it, short of emptying everyone's pockets at the gate? Any suggestions? I've never heard one."

Hi George,

Was it yourself that he attacked after you questioned his father's ability to design pitch drainage? I have a hazy memory of him going way over the top, and calling you all sorts after his choice of expert witness on new pitch drainage was his builder father who had recently passed.

Re: Stan vs Whoareya vs Bangitinthenet vs the buses.. (from green county)

And I agree with you. An expert witness on pitch design these days, is far removed from anything that his dad would have worked on.
The interesting thing is he displays a dementia like inability to cope with the here and now, and relates everything to the dim and distant past.
From my experience of builders of the time, their knowledge of pitch construction was limited to " Green side up lad"

George,
Isn't it not your goodself who cpmplains/squeels about me bringing up ancient history. Such hypocrisy. Still I forgive you. It must be difficult having such a boring personality. Which explains I suppose why topics on which I write her so many hits whilst according to your friend people don't buy the County programme any longer.
Still it is said that bigots only have themselves for company. The racist, the yob and and a man who mocks the dead .
Is there anyone you lot can't offend? Nearly forgot, you don't like 'disgusting sexual practices' do you?

Me? I believe that what consenting adults do in private is a matter for them, none of my business and live and let live.

So between the three of you you've offended gays, ethnic minorities, those of us who believe violence is wrong, those of us who have ever loved someone who has died, those suffering from mental illness and their families. In fact virtually everyone.

That takes some doing George.
