18Maybe tactical? 3-5-2 for a hard away game?Percy plunkett wrote: November 12th, 2021, 7:02 pm Surprised with three changes,Robbie must be injured.I do like Upson but,I thought he was knackered last 15 on Tuesday.Lewis unlucky to be dropped, and Cain.JR going for his experienced players instead.
Re: GRANDSTAND: Hartlepool United, Away (Match-day Thread)
20County have been playing into a strong wind which has given Pools an advantage. But thankfully their finishing has been woeful. County looking dangerous going forward with Cooper outstanding and good support from Azaz and Upson. BR goal from set piece. All to play for but feeling good about this game.
Re: GRANDSTAND: Hartlepool United, Away (Match-day Thread)
21County look great going forward but the defence has looked wobbly at times, especially from crosses. They made have had half a dozen free headers from crosses. Day needs to command his box more as well. He leaves too much to defenders. Great saving tackle from Upson just before half time. Hope the defence are fit enough to last 90 minutes. Upson was struggling at Swindon near the end. Haynes also played 90 minutes midweek and Dolan has been out for a while.
Re: GRANDSTAND: Hartlepool United, Away (Match-day Thread)
22I can see the logic in bringing Dolan and Upson back in. The concept of don't change a winning side has to be balanced with the need to avoid the recent starting eleven feeling they will automatically start the next game. Lewis, Cain and Willmott will also know they are always likely starter's. Assume Willmott must be unwell or injured.

23Thank goodness that at the moment their finishing is woeful

28Well we’re up against it now. Giving the ball away far too much.

30Woeful finishing before their superb free kick. Need to put our foot on the ball and slow it down.
