We haven't heard from Stan for a while. I hope he is in good health.

Perhaps he’s just giving it a rest, I know I do now and then. The forum isn’t as busy or interesting as it used to be and you can get a debate about football in other places too. Or perhaps he’s just busy with other interests.

Not at all.

I'm sitting here in my little irish cottage, planning my next major trolling campaign.

I expect him to be on here on Wednesday with a load of questions for the board ahead of Thursdays’ open meeting. He always leaves it late knowing that they won’t answer his questions on here anyway.I did suggest that he send his questions to the club in advance ahead of the last AGM if he wanted his questions answered. He responded by calling me the C word which prompted Jack to remove his post.He had a break from here then so I’m sure he is healthy and ok.Maybe he has taken my advice and has been busy sending his questions to the club ready for Thursday.

Percy,

Let's get one thing straight. You posted up that I had been banned from this board. Actually I wasn't posting not because i had called you anything but because my sister had died.

I was not bannef for calling you by the 'c' word as you put it. But if the cap fits.

Brendan, you are correct,Admin didn’t ban you for calling me the C word, however,Jack did remove your post because you called me the C word.He also removed a song/poem entitled Percy and the undertakers, which I didn’t get to read, where I was apparently killing people for wanting to go to a football match and undertakers were cashing in with me.
I am sorry to hear of the loss of your sister,we all have to deal with the loss of loved ones but it shouldn’t result in abusive language being used when all I did was offer advice on how to get your questions answered.

Percy,

You were lauding a bunch of nutters and pseudo scientists whose views, adopted by many in the UK have resulted in a death rate per capita twice that of Ireland. 80,000 UK
You posted up on here that i had been banned when that was not the case. So stick your your sympathy where the monkey sticks his nuts.

Pot and kettle here. You actually wrote a poem/song about little ole me.Unfortunately, that morning I went out collecting recycling for an hour or so but, when I got back,Jack had already deleted it because of its defamatory content about undertakers and myself.I have never had anyone else write a song about me,that is a little obsessive isn’t it by you.

Well youre the one who wanted to bring up an issue from 18 months ago. I merely point out that you were encouraging people not to wear masks, at the height of a pandemic when no vaccine was available.

80,000 UK citizens needlessly stiffed. dead, no more, pushing up daisies. And all because people like you were listened to.

You want to pick a fight old son, not me.

Don't think I did. I think you are a petty, I think you are obsessive and to use a common expression here a dangerous fool. Had I called you the c word I suspect I would have been banned. I can't imagine Jack allowing me to call you that. And I think you will find if you type in the c word it gets filtered in any event. But did I think it?

Probably.

The issue of how to deal with Covid is all about politics. Look at the scenario developing across Europe are the moment. All because of the mention of lockdown and compulsory vaccination.

The UK government has taken the view that we need to try to keep the economy open coupled with the idea to get as many people vaccinated in as quickly a time as possible. If we had a Labour government (UK) I dare say there may have been a slightly different tack.

The Irish government have taken different action. Their controls seem to be more thorough and are still so. However, along with the rest of Europe, their Covid rates are climbing. As I say, it is political.

I have no idea what the controls are inside Ireland at the moment but I can tell you this. If you attempt to go to Ireland via ferry (probably the same for other transit types), make sure you have the following documents with you:

Proof of vaccination (Covid passport)
Irish government locator form that must be filled in (electronically). There is a a massive amount of info to fill in here. This only lasts for a few days. If you fill one in today it is only valid until 25 November.
Lateral flow tests for people under 18.

You are asked if you have these documents before you board the ferry. It is policed by the Irish authorities the other side. If you do not have these documents when you arrive in Ireland (no excuses) then there is a 5000 Euro fine. Can’t see Boris doing the same thing in Dover.
