I’m not sure how effective our possession game will be tonight. Exeter had 62% apparently against them - and a fat lot of good it did them. If we do get that much we’ve got to do something with it as they obviously defended well and defeated Exeter fairly convincingly.

Possession is important but for me a far more meaningful statistic is the amount of possession in the opposition third. Which for some reason isn't published.

The gaffer made it clear in last night`s meeting that percentage/possession tactics are the way forward, we just need a couple of players to hold the ball up and the ability to produce some thing out of nothing on a regular basis, in his interview he named a number of clubs he was in constant dialog with, so the transfer window come January hopefully will bear fruit.

Tonight's game is going to be a real test for every one involved 3pts would be nice, but I am going for a draw.

Not feeling at all optimistic about tonight's game after our last performance and that of Colchester. Would definitely take a point.

Yeah me too but sadly I’m expecting the result they got at home to Exeter

It seems there is a lack of optimism about this one, given both teams recent form. I think we often pull something out of the bag when most unexpected, tonight could be one of those times. Consequently, and with the additional fact that it’s five years to the day that Colchester last lost a Friday night game 0-4, it seems a straightforward 4-0 county win.

Think the bookies may have this one wrong. Given recent forms of both teams they have Colchester to win at 12/5. County 6/5. Colchester odds seems overly generous to me. I won’t be going for it though. 1-1 with Telford to be fgs for me.

You could read from that he does not have a plan B or just a bit of kidology on the gaffers part, either way the players are finding it hard to buy into it, time will tell.

You could read from that he does not have a plan B or just a bit of kidology on the gaffers part, either way the players are finding it hard to buy into it, time will tell.

Suspect the players mental "process" will be the deciding factor tonight. A repeat of Tuesday's 2nd half lack of positivity and belief will almost certainly result in a loss.

One thing the gaffer did say last night was how we have gone from 23rd to, I believe, 4th in xG (Expected Goals) In the league since the regime change. I believe that reflects possession in the opposition third in the modern game.
