I have just received the tragic news that one of the founders of Newport AFC has passed away. Marc was truly tenacious in finding us a ground share, ultimately with Moreton. Without Marc's input, there may never have been a reborn Newport County. My thoughts are with his family at this time. RIP Marc.

Completely numb at this news. It was a privilege to work alongside Marc in those early days and witness his professional approach. I have no doubt that without his efforts the fledgling club would not have progressed as it did. A true gent in every respect and my thoughts are with his family. Ian

Sad news RIP

Rip Marc saddened to hear the news anotherone taken away to early.

Very sad news, I didn't know him personally but by sight and he can't have been any great age. Newport is indebted to all that group.

I didn't know Marc, but that's very sad news indeed.

The first time I met Marc was at that meeting in April 1989 at Lysaghts where he and Colin gave us the inspiration to form a committee to explore the possibility of forming a new club.Marc played a massive role that night and in those early years,his knowledge and positivity was key to starting us on the road to where we are now. I was stunned to get a phone call today,this club may not have got here without him.
