Re: Retained List

I suspect the three year deal for Day was a trade off for taking a very substantial pay cut and receiving “normal” county wages which he could afford to do after Cardiff and enjoy the stability of his settled home life. Not his biggest fan, good shot stopper but the reasons he didn’t make it higher up are fairly obvious - would still prefer him to King though.

how do you know he wanted to stay! Iwas in club Wembley after the defeat to morecambe and King rocked up laughing and joking seemed to me he knew where his nx move was ! Imo we didn't need to sign day all we needed was a back up for townsend, wasted money did here the deal was done at a barbecue one that mf wasn't invited to

It is probably little coincidence that Day was on Elite Management books, yet we have never been told what the contractual relationship was with the County that was so publicly terminated. Indeed, why did the Club think it necessary to have such an unique arrangement with a football agency in the first place?

The comments have started already on the Walsall forum about MF only being interested in signing players represented by Elite.

TBF they do represent a lot of players, including some Premier League ones, but it really can’t be healthy to have such blurred lines as a manager.
