Some numbers on this year’s ST price rise for us compared with the rest of the league. These are for the cheapest available tickets (so for us, standing). Concession here represents the cheapest over 65s price (seated and standing are the same price for us) as I’ve not included kids ticket prices.

So our cheapest adult ST has risen 7.6%, but that’s far less than other sides. Most (16 sides) were between -5 to +10%

Last year our cheapest adult ticket was £12 below the league average, and our cheapest concession ticket was £49 more expensive.

This year the cheapest adult ST is £5.71 below than the league average and our concession is £39 more expensive.

On average sides increased their cheapest ST by 4.9%, we were above average at 7.6%
Think it broadly looks positive - we’re charging very average prices and not raising them dramatically. Our slightly above average concession tickets probably don’t fairly reflect the fact that they are constant regardless of seated or standing, which serves as a bonus for older fans who can be in covered seats. Not to mention we’ve traditionally frozen prices for a fair few years.

A very interesting and easy to follow chart. A couple of things stand out. Tranmere were probably the most expensive in League Two last season (no info on the promoted teams) and then they bung an extra 10% on the price. Also, hats off to Doncaster, who obviously had a miserable season and have responded by knocking off 25%, unlike Wimbledon who have maintained their high price regardless of their relegation. And what about Stockport? Horrendous price last year and now one of the highest in League Two, although they have marginally reduced the price. It's almost like saying 'yeah, we ripped you off last season, but we don't really care'. Another factor in favour of our pricing is that seniors kick in at 60 which is probably so for only a handful of teams in our league. I used to keep tabs on that a few years back and it was six or seven.
