Who is the new Match Announcer stepping into the retired Tim Thraves' shoes?
My fellow supporters and I who stood near me on the open section of the Compeed Terrace could hardly make out a word that he said.
Totally missed the 1/2 time scores.
Was it him or poor quality a PA System?
Never had a problem hearing Tim from the same spot in the ground.

Also, anyone note the 50/50 winning numbers as they were announced midway in 2nd half and I missed them.

Same, I commented to my boys that I couldn’t understand what he was saying. Might be that the PA system benefits from someone with a deeper, gravelly voice!

Perfectly happy to be corrected if I am wrong, but at the start I am pretty sure I heard Joe, ‘willthiswork’ on here make the announcement before the match started. If it’s not him, then the bloke has a similar voice.

Me too. Sounds (pun intended) like an equipment issue in the Compeed areas

Thought he did a good job - seemed a bit nervous but when he made an error he styled it out - the not being able to hear is down to the PA system - at the of the day people want teams/scorers, a bit of geeing up and the odd 50/50 & birthday announcement - its a very simple and yet very difficult role at the same time - best of luck to the guy
