Suppose worth noting there is probably several times as many Gibraltans outside of Gib than there are living there, even so they do punch.

During WW2 the civilian population of Gibraltar was evacuated to Madeira, Morocco, Jamaica and England. This may be one explanation for people with Gibraltarian heritage being found widely around the world.

I admire FIFA insistence that every player in the world has to belong to an international federation and have a chance at international football. When Spain protested that Gib was not a country, FiFA ignored them.
