April Fool?

Unfortunately not.

Crackers that is hey!? A thread about ticket prices and people are discussing whether they’re expensive or not, utterly bizarre
Read the posts about the leases and licences - nothing to do with season tickets.

I am not in a position to judge whether it is right or wrong for Newport County to have raised their prices. So whilst I appreciate many on this board don't get nuance, let me explain why some businesses may not be in a position to raise their prices to the extent that others can.
There are two types of spending. Necessary and discretionary. You have no option but to buy food. You have no option to buy transport to work. You have no option but to heat your home in winter. The providers of those commodities, especially if a monopoly or in a cartel can increase their prices, to a far greater degree than those who provide the pleasures of life.
And Newport County, as any economist will tell you, is a discretionary spend.

Have looked at our ST rises in the last year and last two years. Only showing those who've announced for next year but our rise of 10%ish is definitely about average. I've shown a select few clubs at the top of the NL and bottom of L1.

This is over the last season^

This is over the last three seasons^ ie change in price between 2021 and 2023

However total cost is now higher than most clubs that have published prices for next season.

Because we are a self proclaimed 'community' football club? [for one] - like it or not football is not a business in the conventional sense.
