Are you trying to say that you wouldn't be interested in us having an interest in Rodney Parade, or should I say paying for a 50 percent share in Rodney Parade?

Surely you can see the benefit of us (Newport County) in having an equal share in Rodney Parade?
How much would the new Dragons consortium want for 50% of Rodney Parade?
How much would Newport County then have to pay to use Rodney Parade?
It's not just buying into RP but also having the money to redevelop the site. Which is why I'm more interested in an owners of RP (and the Dragons), who was looking to invest in a football club possibly being a future investor in County...

If you mean Mr. Buttress, I've never seen it reported that he was looking to invest in a football club. I've have seen him reported as saying the purchase of the Dragons was keeping him busy. Did you mean him or someone else?

DB owns a third, but a Korean/American money man also owns a third, and he has previously been interested only in football. He may yet prove to be a key player, or he may not.......
We await the details of the bidders proposals.

Seriously, after everything that's gone on, I'd think those left are just bringing this car crash to a conclusion, and will then run to the hills vowing never to volunteer for anything ever again.

I have a degree of sympathy for those on the Board who stepped up from relatively humble positions of supporting/volunteering for many years previously, but none for those 'successful local businessmen' who were supposed to have brought business acumen to the table.
Sums up my views as well. Nothing but respect for those who put their heads above the parapet when nobody else would, but for people who are experienced company directors to get us here smacks of naivety at best.

They had a plan before they became part of the System. When they became part of the Group they put that plan into operation.

The board have said the trust model is unsustainable. So you vote for Mr Jenkins or you vote for oblivion.

Now there are many reasons why the board may favour Mr Jenkins.
1) They genuinely believe that Mr Jenkins offer is the best for Newport County.
2) They will be allowed to keep their seats on the board.
3) Mr Jenkins will not spill the beans as to how Newport County's finances got into such a state.
4) There are so many other possibilities, too many to mention.
5) A combination of the above.

The criticism of the incumbent board is the lack of transparency and disclosure. Now we have it in spades. And one final point to emphasize this. If you look at posts defending the board of directors just look at how many contain the phrase.: 'It could be that.........'.

I agree.
I hope the decisions are made for the good of the club not what the decision makers get out of it.
IF the other bidder is J Pratt he may want to bring his own people in because he may feel a fresh start is needed..The current people , the ' decision makers ' may vote against what could be a better deal for the CLUB but not for them...

I believe both offers / options should be known to Supporters before the 28th September so shareholders will vote for the ( hopefully ) better option for the CLUB not INDIVIDUALS

Turkey's don't vote for Christmas .

Eg

Pratt says " I will invest £3million but you lot bugger off , I have my own team to bring in to run the club"

Jenkins says " I have £2.75 million to invest but most of you will stay on as Board Members.....

Which one do you think they would vote for ????
Colin Everett stated in the last meeting, that at the discussion stage, and before any bids were formally presented, that neither group were offering millions, far from it..............

He also said that he would like to see the bidders agree to make a presentation at the meeting, and answer questions.................

I still think that a combined bid is the best way forward, but to me at least, it has to be sustainable, and not based upon trust monthly subscriptions..........I accept that means no trust representatives will be invited, which is a shame, as they have a proven record of success in this division with very limited budgets..........

It was an example of how they could decide if they wanted to continue with their positions on the board and how it could persuade the people deciding the outcome and how it shouldn't be entirely up to them.
Both proposal should be presented to the shareholders if they meet the requirements such as fit and proper persons and which would be the best way to progress the club.
The current regime has got us into this predicament where we need outside support/ investment to meet the shortfall. Are they really the best people to decide the outcome ?

No they aren't, but without organised opposition they will. Even with it, they may.

Or maybe they didn't actually get us into this predicament, other than by default because, with only 1000 paying trust members, the idea of a fan owned club was a failed mission, and time has run out. Personally, I don't buy into the idea that the current board want to continue to hold onto the trappings of whatever remains of their 'power' which in reality is next to nothing I'm prepared to believe that they will recommend the better of the two bids. The one which they see as better for the club's future. I'm not sure that I would be in any position to contradict whichever offer is deemed fit.

American biotech tycoon Hoyoung Huh.

Huh is also part-owner of the Miami Marlins baseball team as well as Californian biopharmaceutical company Peak Bio Inc.

"Hoyoung loves all sport and was keen for the opportunity to build something. At the time he [Huh] was looking at buying a football club, but one of his associates is a big Dragons fan and persuaded him this was a really good thing to do."

Copied and pasted from the BBC Sport article on the completion of the Dragons handover.

I'm not suggesting he'd be interested straight away but he does sound like someone that could show an interest sometime down the line...
