It's the time commitment and knowledge to manage, maintain, administer and moderate it that needs to be taken on by someone else.
I would imagine the occasions where the site fails and everyone is moaning about it makes it a thankless task fior anyone to undertake.
If a committee was formed (a group of volunteers), this Forum could be run so much better than it is (organised better).
If you think you can get enough interest to form a committee and make improvements then good luck to you, but I can't see that happening.

We should really try and get behind the new site as the only present alternative. I think it’s a valuable and interesting site and not everyone wants to use Facebook

39There is that it’s true and I find the appearance of the site most unattractive. Even when it’s clunky I find this site much better.
